ARCADIA, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2015) – Stakes winner Raised a Secret and fellow California-bred San Onofre are entered in Saturday’s $100,000 Grade III Midnight Lute Stakes at Santa Anita.
San Onofre is by Surf Cat, out of the Native Regent mare Marrakech Gold, was bred by Bruce Headley, is owned by Matson Racing and trained by Karen Headley. He has four wins in nine starts, earnings of $273,040 and is making his first start since a fourth in the June 27 Triple Bend.
Raised a Secret is by Songandaprayer, out of the Bernstein mare Sensitive Soul, was bred by Dahlberg Farms, is owned by Rodney Orr and trained by Mark Glatt. He has five wins in 25 starts, earnings of $419,610 and is coming off a second in the Nov. 22 Cary Grant.
