Cal-bred Pair in San Carlos

ARCADIA, Calif. (June 20, 2018) – Stakes winner El Huerfano and red-hot Touching Rainbows are the California-breds entered in Saturday’s $250,000 Grade II San Carlos Stakes at Santa Anita.

El Huerfano is by Tannersfmyman, out of the Capsized mare Adriftinthebay, was bred by M.A. Douzos, is owned by Barber or Wachtel Stable and is trained by Peter Miller. He has five wins in 32 starts, earnings of $342,796 and is coming off a second in a May 28 optional claimer.

Touching Rainbows is by Aragorn, out of the Gold Case mare Violin Case, was bred by Esembee Inc., is owned by KM Racing Enterprise or Madaket Stables and is trained by Phil D’Amato. He has six wins in 12 starts, earnings of $230,560 and has a four-race win streak.
