Cal-bred Pair in San Juan Capistrano

ARCADIA, Calif. (June 22, 2019) – California-breds Ground Attack and Acclimate are entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade III San Juan Capistrano at Santa Anita.

Ground Attack is by Surf Cat, out of the Grand Slam mare Stardust Magic, was bred by Bruce Headley, is owned by Barnhart, Foxx or Headley and is trained by Headley. He has two wins in seven starts, earnings of $106,491 and is coming off a fourth in a June 8 optional claimer.

Acclimate is by Acclamation, out of the Boundary mare Knows No Bounds, was bred by Old English Rancho, Sal Berumen & Patsy Berumen, is owned by The Ellwood Johnston Trust or Timmy Time Racing and is trained by Phil D’Amato. He has four wins in 13 starts, earnings of $115,521 and is coming off a May 31 starter’s allowance win.
