Cal-bred Pair in Speakeasy

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 3, 2018) – California-breds Whooping Jay and Principe Carlo are entered in Saturday’s $100,000 Speakeasy Stakes for 2-year-olds at Santa Anita.

Whooping Jay is by Square Eddie, out of the Sharp Humor mare Funny Belle, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He was his lone start Sept. 9 and has earnings of $24,000.

Principe Carlo is by Coil, out of the Rahy mare Princess Ezra, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Polanco or Scialanga and is trained by Marcelo Polanco. He has one win in three starts, earnings of $18,945 and is coming off a Sept. 20 maiden win.
