Cal-bred Pair in Unzip Me

ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 24, 104) – California-breds Cal Gal and Meinertzhageni are entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Unzip Me Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.

Cal Gal is by Tapit, out of the Royal Academy mare Scenery Change, was bred by Liberty Road Stables, is owned by Cam Allard and trained by Doug O’Neill. She has one win in eight starts, earnings of $67,062 and is coming off a third in an Aug. 28 optional claimer.

Meinertzhageni is by Stormin Fever, out of the Peaks and Valleys mare Hot Desert, was bred by Robert Harmon, is owned by Jeff Bonde, Miguel Carranza and Stephen McGovern and is trained by Bonde. She has three wins in nine starts, earnings of $180,120 and is coming off an Aug. 30 optional claiming win.
