Cal-bred Quartet in Santa Ana Stakes

ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar. 25, 2020) – California-breds Super Patriot, Streak of Luck and Opus Won, and Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Lostintranzlation, are entered in Saturday’s $100,000 Grade III Santa Ana Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.

Super Patriot is by Unusual Heat, out of the Redattore mare Patriot C H, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Little Red Feather Racing, Peskoff or Salvatore, et al and is trained by Richard Baltas. She has five wins in 27 starts, earnings of $293,954 and is coming off a seventh in the Feb. 22 Buena Vista.

Streak of Luck is by Old Fashioned, out of the Elusive Quality mare Valeria, was bred by owner Roncelli Family Trust and is trained by Matthew Chew. She has five wins in 25 starts, earnings of $297,591 and is coming off a fourth in the Jan. 20 Megahertz. She was fourth in this race last year.

Lostintranzlation is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Granny Got Game, was bred by Lilley Ranch, is owned by Hendrickson, Hesz or McClanahan and is trained by Richard Baltas. The $18,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has three wins in 17 starts, earnings of $177,029 and is coming off a sixth in the Jan. 19 Astra.

Opus Won is by Eddington, out of the Stravinsky mare Russian River, was bred by Frank Mermenstein & Tom McCronklin, is owned by Little Red Feather Racing and trained by Mike Puype. She has four wins in 10 starts, earnings of $213,570 and is coming off a consecutive optional claiming wins.
