Cal-bred Sells for $140,000

DEL MAR, Calif. (Oct. 27, 2015) – A California-bred colt by Good Journey sold for $140,000 to top Tuesday’s Barretts Fall Sale of Yearlings and Horses of Racing Age at Del Mar.
The colt, consigned by Mary Knight, is out of the stakes-placed Southern Halo mare Southern Oasis and is a half-brother to Snow Chief Stakes winner Neveradoubt.
D.P. Racing purchased the colt, who was bred by Janis Whitman.
A California-foaled Stormin Fever filly sold for $100,000 to Greg Gilchrist, agent. She is out of the Cahill Road mare Cielo Duce and is a half-sister to the stakes winner Sweet Saga.
The filly, consigned by Critter Creek Farm, agent, was bred by Stormy B. Hull & Ginger Samples.
