Cal-bred Stablemates Meet in Count Lathum

EDMONTON, Alberta (July 18, 2023) – California-bred stablemates Northern Jewel and Cali Conquest are entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Count Lathum Handicap for 3-year-olds at Century Mile.

Northern Jewel is by Kitten’s Joy, out of the Street Cry mare Northern Station, was bred by Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, is owned by Al Pitchko and trained by Rodney Cone. He has one win in 10 starts, earnings of $21,289 and is coming off a second in a July 1 allowance.

Cali Conquest is by Conquest Farenheit, out of the Two Step Salsa mare Salsita, was bred by Rockingham Ranch, is owned by Al Pitchko and trained by Rodney Cone. He has one win in 14 starts, earnings of $48,058 and is coming off a fourth in a June 23 optional claimer.
