Cal-bred Trio Enters San Francisco Mile

ALBANY, Calif. (Mar. 28, 2018) – Stakes winner Grecian Fire and fellow California-breds Camino Del Paraiso and Many Roses are entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade III San Francisco Mile Stakes at Golden Gate.

Camino Del Paraiso is by Suances, out of the Successful Appeal mare Loni’s Appeal, was bred by Red Baron’s Barn, is owned by Glen Road Racing or Herb Moniz and is trained by O.J. Jauregui. He has three wins in 19 starts, earnings of $199,367 and is coming off a second in the Jan. 27 Unusual Heat Turf Classic. He was sixth in this race last year.

Grecian Fire is by Unusual Heat, out of the Kitten’s Joy mare Maddie’s Odyssey, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. He has three wins in 12 starts, earnings of $137,942 and is coming off a win in a Mar. 8 optional claimer.

Many Roses is by Many Rivers, out of the Bertrando mare Heirloom Rose, was bred by owners Ellen Jackson and Jerry and Margaret Martin and is trained by Jackson. He has four wins in 14 starts, earnings of $123,958 and is coming off a second in a Feb. 16 optional claimer. He was third in this race last year.
