Cal-bred Trio in Clocker’s Corner

ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 27, 2017) – California-breds McHeat, Tribal Fighter and Aotearoa are entered in Sunday’s $75,000 Clocker’s Corner Stakes at Santa Anita.

McHeat is by Unusual Heat, out of the Half a Year mare Style of the Year, was bred by owner Madeline Auerbach and is trained by Craig Lewis. He has three wins in 15 starts, earnings of $148,470 and is coming off a sixth in a Jan. 2 optional claimer.

Tribal Fighter is by Tribal Rule, out of the Fasliyev mare Lucera, was bred by Michael Neumann & Francoise Dupuis, is owned by Little Red Feather Racing or Neumann or Dupuis and is trained by Richard Baltas. He has two wins in eight starts, earnings of $106,968 and is coming off a third in a Dec. 3 optional claimer.

Aotearoa is an also-eligible by Good Journey, out of the Lil Tyler mare Madera Royal, was bred by owner Paul Viskovich and is trained by Leonard Powell. He has four wins in 25 starts, earnings of $252,740 and is coming off a third in a Nov. 24 claimer.
