Cal-bred Trio Lines Up in Green Flash

DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 30, 2023) – Stakes winners Fast Buck and Bus Buzz and CTBA January Sale graduate Kid Corleone are entered in Saturday’s $150,000 Grade III Green Flash Handicap at Del Mar.

Fast Buck is by Gallant Son, out of the Falstaff mare Zorra Roja, was bred by Daehling Ranch and is owned by Zephyr Racing and trainer Cesar DeAlba. He has five wins in nine starts, earnings of $275,474 and is coming off a win in the May 27 Daytona.

Kid Corleone is by Shackleford, out of the Indian Charlie mare Corleone, was bred by The Quarter Company and is owned by Roadrunner Racing and Barbara Evenson. The $10,500 purchase at the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association January Sale has three wins in seven starts, earnings of $163,400 and is coming off a fourth in the July 29 Bing Crosby.

Bus Buzz is by Stay Thirsty, out of the Bring the Heat mare Lost Bus, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Thomas Halasz, Lovingier and Amanda Navarro and is trained by Steve Knapp. He has three wins in five starts, earnings of $222,150 and is coming off a win in the Aug. 4 Real Good Deal Stakes.
