ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar. 3, 2021) – Stakes winners Brickyard Ride and Loud Mouth and fellow California-bred Tigre Di Slugo are entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II San Carlos Stakes at Santa Anita.
Brickyard Ride is by Clubhouse Ride, out of the Southern Image mare Brickyard Helen, was bred by owner Alfred Pais and is trained by Craig Lewis. He has six wins in 12 starts, earnings of $260,277 and is coming off a win in the Jan. 16 Donald Valpredo California Cup Sprint.
Loud Mouth is by Boisterous, out of the Tale of the Cat mare Drama Cat, was bred by Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, is owned by Thomsen Racing and trained by Steve Knapp. He has seven wins in 24 starts, earnings of $306,110 and is coming off a win in a Jan. 30 optional claimer.
Tigre Di Slugo is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Williamstown mare Erica’s Smile, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Slugo Racing, Tiger Racing or Puype and is trained by Mike Puype. He has three wins in six starts, earnings of $150,320 and is coming off a second in the Jan. 16 Donald Valpredo California Cup Sprint.
