Cal-breds Fill Saturday’s Santa Anita Card

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2019) – Saturday’s card at Santa Anita demonstrates the importance of the California breeding industry, as 70 percent of the horses entered are either California-bred or -sired.

The day’s program is highlighted by the $100,000 California Flag Stakes for Golden State Series-eligibles at 5 ½ furlongs on the turf, which includes Grade I winner What a View.

The card also includes four $50,000 maiden special weight races for 2-year-olds.
