Cal-sired Filly Offered in Fundraiser

From SportHorseAuctions.com

WILLCOX, Ariz. — A California-sired yearling daughter of leading stallion Stay Thirsty is being auctioned, with proceeds benefiting paralyzed jockey Anne Von Rosen, according to breeder Dorothée Kieckhefer.

The filly, named Peanut Bar, is out of the Rocky Bar mare Rocky Top Girl. The filly is eligible to compete in all races with enhanced purses which are restricted to California-sired and California-bred Thoroughbreds. She is eligible to be nominated to the lucrative Golden State Stakes Series, according to Kieckhefer. Because she was foaled in Arizona, she would also qualify for owners’ and breeders’ awards in the Grand Canyon State.
