ALBANY, Calif. (Sept. 3, 2021) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate and defending champion Camino Del Paraiso and fellow California-breds Hong Kong Cowboy and Shadrack are entered in Monday’s $50,000 Rolling Green Stakes at Golden Gate.
Shadrack is by Gig Harbor, out of the Tiznow mare Devilinabaydress, was bred by owner Ray McCanna and is trained by Tim McCanna. He has five wins in 21 starts, earnings of $159,974 and is coming off a seventh in a July 23 optional claimer.
Hong Kong Cowboy is by Decarchy, out of the Moscow Ballet mare Dom Ba Doomba, was bred by Andreas Psarras, is owned by Humberto Martinez and trained by Jerry Puertas. He has four wins in 39 starts, earnings of $49,260 and is coming off a second in an Aug. 15 starter’s allowance.
Camino Del Paraiso is by Suances, out of the Successful Appeal mare Loni’s Appeal, was bred by Red Baron’s Barn, is owned by Paradise Road Ranch and trained by O.J. Jauregui. The $5,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has seven wins in 41 starts, earnings of $480,042 and is making his first start since an 11th in the Nov. 28 Seabiscuit Handicap. He won this race last year, was sixth in 2018 and second in 2017.
