PHOENIX, Ariz. (May 3, 2024) – Caution Cardinal, an Arizona-bred son of California stallion Stanford, won Thursday’s $66,278 Gene Fleming Breeders’ Derby for 3-year-olds at Turf Paradise.
Caution Cardinal, out of the Mr. Greeley mare Ms. Caution, ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:45.70 and won by a nose at odds of 3-1 in a field of six.
He has two wins in nine starts and earnings of $69,411.
