LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 26, 2023) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Ceiling Crusher has been added to the Fasig-Tipton November Sale as a racing/broodmare prospect, joining fellow Grade I winner Fun to Dream, the 2022 Cal-bred Horse of the Year.
Ceiling Crusher is a 3-year-old filly is by Mr. Big, out of the Indian Charlie mare Palisadesprincess, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Wonderland Racing Stables, Todd Cady, Tim Kasparoff and Ty Leatherman and is trained by Doug O’Neill.
She has six wins in seven starts, earnings of $938,400 and in her last start defeated Kentucky Oaks winner Pretty Mischievous to win the Cotillion S. (G1) at Parx on September 23. She is a four-time stakes winner this year, including the Torrey Pines S. (G3) at Del Mar.
Fun to Dream is by Arrogate, out of the Maria’s Mon mare Lutess, was bred by Connie Pageler and Bob Baffert, is owned by Natalie Baffert and Pageler and trained by Bob Baffert. She has six wins in 10 starts and earnings of $670, 190.
She won the Grade I La Brea Stakes last December, the Grade II Santa Monica Stakes in February and was second in the Grade 2 Beholder Stakes in March. In her most recent start, she was third in the Sept. 4 Tranquility Lake.
Also cataloged for sale is the Cal-bred Square Eddie mare Edwina E, dam of millionaire Cal-bred Slow Down Andy, recent winner of the Grade I Awesome Again, as well as stakes winner Team Merchants. The 11-year-old Edwina E sells in foal to Nyquist, carrying a full brother to Slow Down Andy.
The November Sale will be held on Tuesday, November 7, in Lexington, Kentucky. The sale will begin at 2 p.m.
