ARCADIA, Calif. (June 2, 2017) – Schulace gave California stallion Champ Pegasus his first winner on Friday by taking the sixth race at Santa Anita, a maiden special weight for 2-year-olds, in his debut.
Schulace is out of the Holy Bull mare Tillie Lou, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Richard Barton, trained by Mike Machowsky and was ridden by Rafael Bejarano.
He ran the 4 ½ furlongs in :52.68 and won by 3 ¾ lengths at odds of 6-5 in the field of eight.
