ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 17, 2019) – California-bred stakes winners Cheekaboo and Lynne’s Legacy are entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade III Astra Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Cheekaboo is by Unusual Heat, out of the Souvenir Copy mare Sandy Cheeks, was bred by Madeline Auerbach, Richard Rosenberg & Barry Abrams, is owned by Alesia, Burns Racing or Ciaglia Racing and is trained by Peter Eurton. She has three wins in 24 starts, earnings of $371,995 and is coming off a fourth in a Dec. 30 optional claimer.
Lynne’s Legacy is by Unusual Heat, out of the Steinlen mare Top of Our Game, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Richardson, Robershaw or Rothblum and is trained by Doug O’Neill. She has five wins in 29 starts, earnings of $305,780 and is coming off a win in the Dec. 8 Miss America.
