CYPRESS, Calif. (Sept. 20, 2023) – Multiple stakes winner Chismosa and fellow California-bred Smoothlikebuttah are entered in Saturday’s $125,000 Dark Mirage Stakes for fillies and mares at Los Alamitos.
Chismosa is by Clubhouse Ride, out of the Cat Dreams mare You Can Dream, was bred by owner Jaime Renella and trained by Rafael DeLeon. She has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $289,750 and is coming off a 10th in the Aug. 25 Charlestown Oaks
Smoothlikebuttah is by Mr. Big, out of the Five Star Day mare Eight Daughters, was bred by NP Thoroughbreds, is owned by Robert Bach & William Tessar and is trained by Steve Knapp. She has three wins in 43 starts, earnings of $429,366 and is coming off a fourth in the Sept. 4 Tranquility Lake.
