‘Chrome Progressing in Recovery

By Paulick Report

Horse of the Year California Chrome continues to make progress in his recovery from a cannon-bone bruise that ended his current racing season.

According to a report in the Daily Racing Form, trainer Art Sherman said that the talented colt remains at Taylor Made Farm and is on schedule to return to his stable at Los Alamitos in October.

Sherman said that California Chrome was not being ridden, and was having pasture time daily. The colt has put on about 25 pounds.

“They said he is traveling good in the paddock,” Sherman said. “I don’t think he’ll do anything until he comes to me. I’ll have to leg him up.”

Sherman told the DRF that he hopes to have California Chrome ready for a start in early 2016 at Santa Anita.
