Clubhouse Ride Relocates to Legacy Ranch

From Legacy Ranch

CLEMENTS, Calif. (Oct. 14, 2019) – Millionaire earner Clubhouse Ride, the sire of recent stakes winner Warren’s Showtime, has relocated to Pete and Evelyn Parrella’s Legacy Ranch in Clements and will stand the 2020 breeding season for a fee of $3,500 live foal.

“We have been looking to add another high-quality stallion to our roster and are very excited that Clubhouse Ride became available and that owners Rick Seidner and Craig Lewis felt Legacy Ranch would be the right fit for the stallion,” said Pete Parrella.

“We saw at the recent sales the popularity of Clubhouse Ride. Terry Knight, our ranch manager and trainer, has followed the Clubhouse Ride foals closely and was instrumental in getting this deal completed. We will support the stallion with a large number of our mares and believe, as do Rick and Craig, that Clubhouse Ride has the potential to become a leading sire in California for years to come.”

Clubhouse Ride, the 11-year-old son of Pacific Classic winner Candy Ride, out of the Seeking the Gold mare Seeking Results, earned $1,341,132 on the track.

Warren’s Showtime is from Clubhouse Ride’s second crop to race. The Lewis trainee is a 2-year-old homebred filly of Ben and Sally Warren that won the Oct. 6 Surfer Girl Stakes at Santa Anita in open company at one mile on turf. Clubhouse Ride is the only California-based second-crop sire with a stakes winner this year.

Clubhouse Ride was a versatile winner from ages 2 through 5 on dirt, turf and synthetic at distances from six furlongs to 1 1/8 miles. He was a two-time winner of the Grade II Californian Stakes and won races at four different tracks. He also placed in the Santa Anita Handicap, Santa Anita Gold Cup, Cash Call Futurity, Charles Town Classic, San Antonio Stakes and the Daytona Stakes. He ran eight triple-digit Beyers numbers in 2013-14, topped by a 106 in his first Californian Stakes victory.

“Clubhouse Ride was a top athlete, with a great mind. He was all racehorse,” said Lewis.

Clubhouse Ride joins Legacy Ranch stallions Straight Fire, Gervinho and Phantom Wildcat. For further information on breeding to Clubhouse Ride, contact Legacy Ranch manager Terry Knight at 510-928-4980 or email info@legacyranchinc.com.
