Connie Swingle High Weight for Fleet Treat

DEL MAR, Calif. (July 23, 2022) – Stakes winner Connie Swingle is the high weight in Thursday’s $175,000 Fleet Treat Stakes for Golden State Series-eligible 3-year-old fillies at Del Mar.

Rose Dawson is by Grazen, out of the Bertrando mare Sudden Sunday, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Phil D’Amato. She has two wins in three starts, earnings of $160,440 and is coming off a second in a June 11 allowance.

Tam’s Little Angel is by Tamarando, out of the Lucky Pulpit mare Angel Diane, was bred by owners Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Steve Specht. She has four wins in 10 starts, earnings of $155,972 and is coming off a win in the June 25 She’s A Tiger.

Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Opening Buzz is by Stanford, out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Open Mic, was bred by owner Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and is trained by Jonathan Wong. The $34,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale won her lone start June 11 with earnings of $23,400.

Connie Swingle is by Grazen, out of the Sky Mesa mare Sky Marni, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Phil D’Amato. She has four wins in six starts, earnings of $249,540 and is coming off a win in a June 11 allowance.

Fun to Dream is by Arrogate, out of the Maria’s Mon mare Lutess, was bred by owners Connie Pegler and Bob Baffert and is trained by Baffert. She won her lone start May 28 with earnings of $40,200.
