Daffodil Sweet Tries Emerald Distaff Again

AUBURN, Wash. (Aug. 9, 2023) – Multiple stakes winner Daffodil Sweet and fellow California-bred Nan Elizabeth are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Emerald Distaff Stakes for fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.

Daffodil Sweet is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Lion Heart mare Easy on My Heart, was bred by Michael Terry, is owned by One Horse Will Do Corp., and is trained by Marshall Allen. She has 10 wins in 19 starts, earnings of $200,161 and is coming off a July 30 optional claiming win. She was sixth in this race in 2021.

Nan Elizabeth is by Flat Out, out of the Belong to Me mare Maryneill, was bred by Stepaside Farm and is owned by trainer Luciano Gabriel. She has five wins in 20 starts, earnings of $75,160 and is coming off three consecutive claiming wins.
