Deep Field for Golden State Juvenile Fillies

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2018) – Stakes winners Creative Instinct, Start the Show and Naughty Tiger head a deep field in Friday’s $200,000 Golden State Juvenile Fillies for Golden State Series eligible 2-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.

Unbeaten Give Me a Hint is by Merit Man, out of the Beat Hollow mare Hint of Promise, was bred by Robert Hess and owners Schroeder Farms and Welton Mansfield and is trained by Hess.  She won both of her starts with earnings of $41,040.

Start the Show is by Oxbow, out of the Bertrando mare Preshow, was bred by George Krikorian, is owned by Blackstone Street Racing and trained by Richard Baltas. She has two wins in three starts, earnings of $89,250 and is coming off a win in the Sept. 29 Small Wonder Stakes at Delaware Park.

Dichotomy is by Square Eddie, out of the Johar mare Frege, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has one win in four starts, earnings of $45,145 and is coming off a fifth in the Aug. 29 Generous Portion.

Naughty Tiger is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Red Giant mare Naughty Nightie, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Brian Blackburn, Edward Freeman, Shannon Hunt, Mike Marsden, et al and is trained by Freeman. She has two wins in four starts, earnings of $111,880 and is coming off a third in the Sept. 15 Barretts Debutante.

Hotitude is by Heat Shield, out of the Pleasantly Perfect mare Lovefromafar, was bred by Kristin Mulhall, is owned by Twilight Racing or Taub and is trained by Mulhall. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $36,000 and is coming off a Sept. 13 maiden win.

Apache Princess is by Unusual Heat, out of the Indian Charlie mare Puskita, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by J. Keith Desormeaux. She is a maiden making her second start with earnings of $10,000.
