Diverse Field for B. Thoughtful

(Apr. 24, 2013) – Grade I winner Teddy’s Promise, a trio of candidates bred by owner Benjamin Warren and three more out of In Excess mares are included in a diverse field for Saturday’s $125,000 B. Thoughtful Stakes for Golden State Series eligible fillies and mares at Hollywood Park.

Warren’s Amber is by Broadway Moon, out of the Mud Route mare I’m a Cat’s Meow, was bred by owner Benjamin Warren and is trained by Jorge Gutierrez. She has two wins in 13 starts, earnings of $223,900 and is coming off a ninth in a Nov. 2 allowance.

Sparkling Style is by Badge of Silver, out of the A.P. Indy mare Decades of Style, was bred by Todd Sheehan and Donald Lindemann, is owned by Arnold Zetcher and trained by Bob Baffert. The $40,000 Barretts purchase has three wins in 10 starts, earnings of $156,452 and is coming off a sixth in a Jan. 18 optional claimer.

Teddy’s Promise is by Salt Lake, out of the Capote mare Braids and Beads, was bred by owners Ted and Judy Nichols and is trained by Ron Ellis. She has eight wins in 22 starts, earnings of $654,981 and is coming off a second in the Mar. 10 Las Flores.

Warren’s Internet is by Excess Danger, out of the Elusive Quality mare Go for Quality, was bred by owner Benjamin Warren and is trained by Jorge Gutierrez. She has two wins in five starts, earnings of $85,164 and is coming off a fourth in a Feb. 23 allowance.
