ALBANY, Calif. (Feb. 9, 2022) – California-bred stakes winner Dr Pescado and Northern California Yearling Sale graduates Nuestro Engreido and Meetmeattheclub are entered in Saturday’s $100,000 El Camino Real Derby for 3-year-olds at Golden Gate.
Dr Pescado is by Fullbridled, out of the Peppered Cat mare Sweetly Peppered, was bred by Juan Heredia, is owned by Ruben Arechiga and is trained by Felix Rondan. He has two wins in four starts, earnings of $68,668 and is coming off a third in thej Dec. 4 Gold Rush.
Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Nuestro Engreido is by Cat Burglar, out of the North Light mare Just Heavenly, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises & Robert Traynor, is owned by Ruben Arechiga and trainer Felix Rondan. The $1,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has one win in 10 starts, earnings of $54,402 and is coming off a third in a Jan. 28 optional claimer.
Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Meetmeattheclub is by Clubhouse Ride, out of the Slew’s Tiznow mare Lizzy’s Tizgirl, was bred by Dana Rocheford and is owned by trainer Daniel Franko. The $1,200 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale is a maiden making his third start with earnings of $5,700.
