ARCADIA, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2014) — Finalists for 2014 Eclipse Awards will be announced Wednesday, Jan. 7, during a 30-minute program on HRTV that will begin at 11:30 a.m. EST.
The announcement from Santa Anita Park will be hosted by Christina Blacker and Laffit Pincay III, with reporters Scott Hazelton and Caton Bredar. The Eclipse Awards, honoring excellence in Thoroughbred racing, are voted upon by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, National Turf Writers And Broadcasters, and Daily Racing Form.
Winners in all 17 human and equine categories will be announced at the 44th annual Eclipse Awards dinner Saturday, Jan. 17, at Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino in Hallandale Beach, Fla. HRTV also will provide live coverage of the ceremony that will include presentations of the Award of Merit to Tom Durkin and the Special Award to Old Friends Farm.
