DEL MAR, Calif. (July 18, 2018) – El Huerfano is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II San Diego Handicap at Del Mar.
El Huerfano is by Tannersmyman, out of the Capsized mare Adriftinthebay, was bred by M.A. Douzos, is owned by Barber or Wachtel Stable and is trained by Peter Miller.
He has five wins in 33 starts, earnings of $357,796 and is coming off a fourth in the June 23 San Carlos. He was fifth in this race last year.
