Ellamira Enters Golden Gate Turf Distaff

ALBANY, Calif. (Sept. 14, 2022) – Stakes winners Ellamira and Tam’s Little Angel are among the four California-breds entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Golden Gate Fields Turf Distaff Stakes.

Misty Cat is by Bluegrass Cat, out of the Bob and John mare Play Misty for Us, was bred by BKB Stables and is owned by trainer Daniel Franko. She has three wins in 33 starts, earnings of $126,260 and is coming off a sixth in an Aug. 27 optional claimer.

Tam’s Little Angel is by Tamarando, out of the Lucky Pulpit mare Angel Diane, was bred by owners Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Steven Specht. She has four wins in 11 starts, earnings of $166,472 and is coming off a fourth in the July 28 Fleet Treat.

Ellamira is by Street Boss, out of the Ghostzapper mare Tuesdays With P, was bred by owner Cole Ranch and is trained by Steven Specht. She has three wins in nine starts, earnings of $138,806 and is coming off a fifth in the May 29 Honeymoon Stakes.

Sassyserb is by Circumference, out of the Rock Hard Ten mare Incredible Ten, was bred by John & Allegra Ernst, is owned by Next Wave Racing and trained by George Papaprodromou. She has four wins in 21 starts, earnings of $242,895 and is coming off a sixth in the Aug. 21 Solana Beach.
