ARCADIA, Calif. (May 24, 2017) – California-breds Enola Gray and Coniah are entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II Monrovia Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Enola Gray is by Grazen, out of the More Than Ready mare Unsung Heroine, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Phil D’Amato. She has six wins in nine starts, earnings of $509,100 and is coming off consecutive wins in the Irish O’Brien and California Cup Filly & Mare Turf Stakes.
Coniah is by Harlington, out of the Lord At War mare Pretti Woman, was bred by owners James or Tammy McKenney and is trained by Bill Morey. She has three wins in 17 starts, earnings of $175,365 and is coming off a second in the Apr. 22 Mizdirection.
