Field of 11 Entered in Bear Fan Stakes

ALBANY, Calif. (Dec. 7, 2022) – Three graduates of the Northern California Yearling Sale and stakes winner Tam’s Little Angels are among the entries in Saturday’s $75,000 Bear Fan Stakes for California-bred fillies and mares at Golden Gate.

Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Tip Top Gal is by Old Topper, out of the Royal Anthem mare El Sierra Tahoe, was bred by owners George and Mary Clare Schmitt and is trained by Quentin Miller. She has five wins in 38 starts, earnings of $221,913 and is coming off a ninth in a Nov. 27 optional claimer. She was third in this race last year.

Exactly Wendy is by Nyquist, out of the Square Eddie mare Redo It, was bred by Reddam Racing, is owned by Jerry Jamgotchian and trained by Leandro Mora. She has one win in eight starts, earnings of $69,140 and is coming off a fifth in an Oct. 28 optional claimer.

Hot Rageous is by Idiot Proof, out of the Free at Last mare Iforgottobeme, was bred by Remmah Racing, is owned by Frankly Speaking and trained by Isidro Tamayo. She has four wins in 19 starts, earnings of $145,674 and is coming off a second in a Nov. 11 claimer. She was 13th in this race last year.

Sheza Girly Girl is by Richard’s Kid, out of the Grand Reward mare Sheza Eyeopener, was bred by Tom Halasz & Richard Brown, is owned by MJVET Stables and Brian Parker and trained by Jonathan Wong. She has seven wins in 28 starts, earnings of $273,782 and is coming off a second in a Nov. 6 allowance.

Big Summer is by Mr. Big, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Ultimate Summer, was bred by Bob Abrams & Mitchell Dutko, is owned by Abrams, Dutko & Michael Paran and trained by Carla Gaines. She has three wins in nine starts, earnings of $190,160 and is coming off back-to-back wins.

Unbeaten Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Chancery Way is by Mr. Big, out of the War Chant mare This Means War, was bred by Harris Farms & John Nicoletti, is owned by Andy Smolich and Rob Smolich and trained by Jamey Thomas. The $6,500 Northern California Yearling Sale graduate has won all three starts with earnings of $65,520 and is coming off a win in a July 23 optional claimer.

Lagatha is by Surf Cat, out of the Cyclotron mare Cintron, was bred by Bruce Headley and George Bolton, is owned by Hat Trick Racing & Jose Valle and trained by Reid France. She has six wins in 19 starts, earnings of $150,330 and is coming off a Nov. 25 claiming win.

Northern California Yearling Sale graduate All Dialed In is by Dialed In, out of the Mutakddim mare Nuffsaid Nuffsaid, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Harris Farms and trained by Sean McCarthy. The $30,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has three wins in 10 starts, earnings of $178,700 and is coming off a third in the Nov. 13 Betty Grable.

Luxury Liner is by Grazen, out of the Bertrando mare Sudden Sunday, was bred by Nick Alexander, is owned by Alexander and Selvyn Bleifer and trained by Steven Miyadi. She has five wins in 12 starts, earnings of $118,660 and is coming off a Nov. 6 allowance win.

Carolina Mia is by Gallant Son, out of the Sought After mare Carolina Grande, was bred by Daehling Ranch, is owned by Margarito Arechiga and is trained by Felix Rondan. She has four wins in 23 starts, earnings of $199,910 and is coming off a fourth in a Nov. 26 optional claimer. She was fifth in this race last year.

Tam’s Little Angel is by Tamarando, out of the Lucky Pulpit mare Angel Diane, was bred by owners Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Steven Specht. She has four wins in 13 starts, earnings of $175,502 and is coming off a second in a Nov. 6 allowance.
