Fork and Dagger Wins Duke City

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Aug. 7, 2016) – Longshot Fork and Dagger, the lone California-bred in the field, turned back the bid of odds-on favorite He’s a Tiger and won Saturday’s $50,000 Duke City Sprint Stakes for 3-year-olds at Albuquerque.

Fork and Dagger is by Rocky Bar, out of the Gulch mare Just Hoping, was bred by David Chavez, is owned by Kelley Brooks and trained by Bill Brashears.

He has two wins in eight starts, earnings of $43,646 and was coming off a June 27 maiden win. Fork and Dagger ran the 5 ½ furlongs in 1:03.53 and won by 2 ½ lengths at odds of 11-1.
