ALBANY, Calif. (Nov. 26, 2022) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Freeport Joe seeks to defend his title in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade III Berkeley Stakes at Golden Gate.
Freeport Joe is by English Channel, out of the Sadler’s Wells mare Winds of March, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Larry Odbert and trained by Gloria Haley.
The $2,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has eight wins in 21 starts, earnings of $295,064 and is coming off a second in the Nov. 5 Joseph T. Grace.
