G. G. Ryder is California Dreamin’

DEL MAR, Calif. (July 23, 2015) – Multiple Graded winner G. G. Ryder and defending champ Rock Me Baby are part of a deep and talented field for Sunday’s $150,000 California Dreamin’ Stakes for Golden State Series eligibles at Del Mar.

Poshsky is by Vronsky, out of the Bold Badgett mare Pinky’s Posh, was bred by Old English Rancho and Berumen, is owned by Silver Ranch Stable and Wachtel Stable and is trained by Peter Miller. He has four wins in 17 starts, earnings of $168,140 and is coming off a ninth in the June 27 Gold Cup at Santa Anita.

Stakes winnerAmbitious Brew is by Tizbud, out of the Forest Wildcat mare Kathwen, was bred by owner Pamela Ziebarth and is trained by Martin Jones. He has four wins in 12 starts, earnings of $290,130 and is coming off a second in the July 2 Bertrando Stakes.

Defending champion Rock Me Baby is by Rock Hard Ten, out of the Tale of the Cat mare Barbara Orr, was bred by Mercedes Stables, is owned by West Point Thoroughbreds and trained by Craig Dollase. He has seven wins in 19 starts, earnings of $463,602 and is coming off a win in the July 13 Albany Stakes. He also was second in this race in 2013.
