ALBANY, Calif. (Aug. 31, 2019) – Multiple graded stakes winner G.G. Ryder and fellow California-bred Lymebyrd are entered in Monday’s $50,000 Rolling Green Stakes at Golden Gate.
G.G. Ryder is by Chhaya Dance, out of the Storm Boot mare Stormy Gigi, was bred by Eagle Oak Ranch, is owned by Sergio Salquero and trained by Isidro Tamayo. He has 15 wins in 57 starts, earnings of $727,139 and is coming off a second in a June 21 claimer. He was third in this race in 2017 and second in 2015.
Lymebyrd is by Limehouse, out of the Old Trieste mare Gorgeous Trieste, was bred by Javier Avitia, is owned by Don Brown & Guy Brown and is trained by Angelo Tekos Jr. He has five wins in 28 starts, earnings of $177,562 and is coming off an Aug. 16 optional claiming win.
