Gervinho to Stand at Tommy Town

SANTA YNEZ, Calif. (Dec. 5, 2014) – Grade II winner Gervinho, the 2013 champion California-bred 3-year-old male, has been retired and will stand the 2015 breeding season at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds for a fee of $3,500, live foal.

Gervinho, the property of Keith Brackpool, is by perennial leading sire Unusual Heat, out of the Out of Place mare Foreverinthegame. He’s full brother to stakes winner Lakerville.

Gervinho finished his career on the track with four wins in nine starts, earnings of $422,140 and was in the money eight times.

His biggest win was his final race, the Grade II Sir Beaufort Stakes at Santa Anita as a 3-year-old, beating eventual Grade I Eddie Read winner Tom’s Tribute. At 2, he won his debut and followed with a win in the Zuma Beach Stakes, earning a berth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.
