Gonnadancealot Wins Byerley Handicap

FLEMINGTON, Australia (July 18, 2021) – Gonnadancealot, an Australian-bred daughter of California stallion Sir Prancealot, won Saturday’s $150,000 Byerley Handicap for 2-year-old fillies at Flemington.

Gonnadancealot, out of the Danehill mare Tresillian, ran the 1 1/8 miles in 1:52.52 on a soft surface and won by 2 ¾ lengths in the field of 12.

She was ridden by Melbourne’s leading jockey, Jamie Kah, and is part-owned by UK-based trainer Jane Chapple-Hyam. Her next start is likely to be the Nov. 4 Group 1 Kennedy Oaks at Flemington.
