DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 15, 2013) – Graded winner Halo Dolly will carry high weight of 125 pounds as she goes for a three-peat in Sunday’s $150,000 Solana Beach Handicap for Golden State eligible fillies and mares at Del Mar.

Multiple stakes winner Unusual Hottie is by Unusual Heat, out of the Ski Champ mare Branca Como Neve, was bred by Ali Niforushan Equestrian, is owned by Seyyed Nilforushan and trained by Jeff Mullins. She has seven wins in 15 starts, earnings of $370,928 and is coming off a second in the July 20 Osunitas.

Halo Dolly is by Popular, out of the Comic Strip mare Spanish Halo, was bred by Rod and Lorraine Rodriguez, is owned by Hoefflin, Hoefflin, Hollendorfer, O’Farrell, Robin et al and trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. She has 15 wins in 31 starts, earnings of $775,636 and is coming off a third in the July 28 Luther Burbank. She won the last two runnings of this race.
