All Tea All Shade won the first race, a maiden claimer for California-breds, while Give Me a Hint won the second race, a starter’s optional claimer.
All Tea All Shade is out of the Whywhywhy mare Why So Serious, was bred by owner Schroeder Farms and trained by Robert Hess, Jr. She ran six furlongs in 1:13.38 and won by a nose as the 8-5 favorite
Give Me a Hint is out of the Beat Hollow mare Hint of Promise, was bred by Schroeder Farms, Welton Manfield and Robert Hess, is owned by Schroeder Farms and Manfield and trained by Hess, Jr. She ran six furlongs in 1:11.04 and won by 6 ½ lengths as the 1-2 favorite.
