DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 29, 2021) – California stallions Stanford, Straight Fire and Grazen are represented by multiple progeny in Friday’s $100,000 Generous Portion Stakes for Golden State Series eligible 2-year-old fillies at Del Mar.

Cause She’s a Lady is by Creative Cause, out of the Warrior’s Reward mare Warriorscmoutoplay, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by Slugo Racing or Paymaster Racing and is trained by Mike Puype. She is making her racing debut.

Drizella is by Stanford, out of the Royal Applause mare Tinderella, was bred by Magee-Wolfson, is owned by William Peeples and is trained by Luis Mendez. She has one win in four starts, earnings of $70,400 and is coming off a second in the Aug. 5 CTBA Stakes.

Madiha is by Shaman Ghost, out of the Great Notion mare Very Few Details, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Lovingier, Madiha or Navarro and is trained by Walther Solis. She is a maiden making her third start with earnings of $15,660.

Stopdropandroll is by Straight Fire, out of the Super Saver mare Super Savvy, was bred by Straight Fire LLC, is owned by LNJ Foxwoods, Jungle Racing or Litt, et al and is trained by Blaine Wright. He won his lone start July 24 with earnings of $23,400.
