ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2018) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Lakerball is the lone California-bred entered in Monday’s $100,000 Surfer Girl Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.
Lakerball is by Lakerville, out of the Capsized mare Category Ten, was bred by Rancho de Los Aviadores, is owned by Pappas Racing, Purple Rein Racing or Roberts and is trained by Doug O’Neill.
The $1,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has one win in three starts, earnings of $24,480 and is coming off a fourth in a Sept. 2 starter’s allowance.
