DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 21, 2016) – California-breds Magic Mark, Songforjohnmichael and Avanti Bello are entered in the second division of Wednesday’s $75,000 Harry F. Brubaker Stakes at Del Mar.
Magic Mark is by Benchmark, out of the Deputy Governor mare Jewel Magic, was bred by owners Dorine and John Lanza and is trained by Ron Ellis. He has five wins in 15 starts, earnings of $264,734 and is coming off a fourth in the July 4 Thor’s Echo.
Songforjohnmichael is by Songandaprayer, out of the Quiet American mare Silent Demand, was bred by Kathleen Kennedy, is owned by RL Stables and trained by Dan Hendricks. He has four wins in 12 starts, earnings of $166,550 and is coming off a fourth in an Aug. 10 optional claimer.
Avanti Bello is by Include, out of the Mizzen Mast mare Masterful Lass, was bred by Lou Neve, is owned by Suarez or Keh or Richardson, et al and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has four wins in 15 starts, earnings of $249,488 and is coming off an eighth in the July 24 California Dreamin’.
