DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 12, 2018) – California stallion Merit Man was represented by his first winner in Sunday’s ninth race at Del Mar when Give Me a Hint won a $50,000 maiden claimer for 2-year-old Cal-bred fillies.
Give Me a Hint is out of the Beat Hollow mare Hint of Promise, was bred by owners Schroeder Farms, Welton Manfield & Robert Hess and is trained by Robert Hess Jr.
In her racing debut, Give Me a Hint ran the 5 ½ furlongs in 1:06.26 and won by 9 ¼ lengths at odds of 9-1.
