MEXICO CITY, Mex. (July 25, 2023) – With a furious rally through the stretch, Mi Vecino, a Kentucky-bred son of California stallion Jack Milton, won Saturday’s Grade I LXXVII Handicap Presidencial by a neck at Hipodromo de las Americas.
Mi Vecino, out of the Mineshaft mare Best of Times, is a former Horse of the Year in Mexico, Champion Older Horse and Champion 2-year-old colt.
He ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:45.40.
