DEL MAR, Calif. (July 19, 2017) – Ashleyluvssugar, runner-up in the race last year, is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $250,000 Grade II Eddie Read Stakes at Del Mar.
Ashleyluvssugar is by Game Plan, out of the Urgent Request mare Ashley’s Folly, was bred by owners Alesia, BranJam Stables & Ciaglia Racing and is trained by Peter Eurton.
He has 10 wins in 22 starts, earnings of $1,289,004 and is coming off a win in the May 28 Charlie Whittingham. He was second in this race last year.
