SHAKOPEE, Minn. (June 13, 2023) – Minister of Soul, one of the winningest graduates of the Northern California Yearling Sale, is the lone California-bred entered in Wednesday’s $75,000 Dark Star Turf Sprint at Canterbury Park.
Minister of Soul is a 9-year-old by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Bernstein mare Sensitive Soul, was bred by Dahlberg Farm and is owned by trainer Esteban Martinez.
The $16,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has 17 wins in 55 starts, earnings of $529,322 and is coming off a June 3 optional claiming win. He was sixth in this race in 2021.
