Ministers Wild Cat Pensioned at 22

SANTA YNEZ, Calif. (Feb. 16, 2022) – California stallion Ministers Wild Cat, a mainstay at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, has been pensioned at the age of 22, the farm announced on Wednesday.

Ministers Wild Cat, by Deputy Minister and out of the Kris S mare and Breeders’ Cup Distaff winner Hollywood Wildcat, is a sibling to champion sire War Chant and was a multiple stakes winner for breeders Marjorie and Irving Cowan. He entered stud at Tommy Town in 2006.

His 14 crops to race earned more than $24 million with more than 20 black-type winners, including graded winners Doinghardtimeagain, who earned $734, 304, and eventual sire Tiz A Minster, as well as current runners Fly to Mars and Minister of Soul.
