PHOENIX, Ariz. (Dec. 16, 2021) – California-bred Miss Carousel rallied late to win Thursday’s $60,000 Sun Devil Sprint Stakes for fillies and mares at Turf Paradise.
Miss Carousel is by Square Eddie, out of the In Excess mare Gypsy Friday, was bred by owners Reddam Racing and Edward Freeman, who is also the trainer. She has five wins in 12 starts, earnings of $167,045 and was coming off a win in a $25,000 claimer Nov. 21.
The 4-year-old filly ran the five furlongs on turf in :56.27 and won by a neck at odds of 3-1 in a field of eight.
