SACRAMENTO, Calif. (May 18, 2020) — The California Horse Racing Board Licensing Offices at Santa Anita Park, Golden Gate Fields, and Los Alamitos Race Course are now open for renewals and new owner licenses only. The Sacramento Licensing Office is still closed awaiting modifications for COVID-19 mitigation.
In order to prevent introduction of new licensees to the contained backside of the tracks, new licenses (other than owners) will not be issued at this time. Exceptions to the suspension of issuing new licenses will be considered if the license is necessary for the health and safety of people and/or horses. All requests for exceptions shall be emailed to Shawn Loehr, Chief of Enforcement and Licensing (slloehr@chrb.ca.gov).
